Entry requirements

Find out what documents you need to submit and how to apply for our English-taught degree courses. For our undergraduate degrees, you cannot apply directly to the University: you will need to apply through a centralized system Gosuslugi — RuID mobile application, or Gosuslugi directly if you have a verified account.

Install the application and choose your preferred interface language, then follow the instructions to register and submit an application to the university. Through Gosuslugi RuID, you can apply for up to 5 different degree courses at up to 5 different universities.

Your application must include:

  1. Passport
  2. Notarized translation of the passport into the Russian language
  3. Duly legalized school graduation document*
  4. Notarized translation of the school graduation document into the Russian language
  5. Certificate of recognition of foreign education*

*For applicants from India and China the procedures of legalization and recognition are not required according to the member countries' bilateral agreements.

If you apply for English-taught degree courses, make sure that your level of English language proficiency is sufficient to complete your academic studies successfully.

Apply for Transfer

Find out what documents you need to submit if you wish to transfer from another university. Please note that to be eligible for transfer, you must be currently enrolled as a student at another university.

Submission deadlines:

  • For an autumn semester: documents must be submitted between August 15 and August 20 of the respective year
  • For a spring semester: documents must be submitted between January 28 and February 03 of the respective year

Required documents for transfer application:

  1. Up-to-date academic transcript of records issued no earlier than August 1 / January 15. Your grades in the academic transcript of records must be in accordance with the Russian 5-point grading system.
  2. Secondary school certificate, duly legalized if necessary
  3. Notarized translation of the school certificate in Russian
  4. Certificate of recognition of foreign education if necessary
  5. Scan of your passport (all pages)
  6. Notarized translation of your passport in Russian

Additionally, if you are in Russia, provide the following*:

  • Your current visa, registration and migration card
  • 3 medical certificates and a document proving that these certificates have been submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs
  • Fingerprint registration card
  • Medical insurance

*Other documents may be required by the migration office.
